Weapon & Drug Bust – Details Released

Four arrests were made as a result of two Drug Search Warrants executed in the Town of Cobourg.

As part of an ongoing enhanced enforcement strategy targeting illegal drug activity affecting Northumberland County and the safety of our citizens, the Cobourg Police Service commenced an investigation into drug activity at 351 and 353 John Street in the Town of Cobourg.

On Thursday, January 30, 2025, members of the Cobourg Police Service Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB), with the assistance of the Port Hope Police CIB, Ontario Provincial Police Tactical Response Unit (TRU) and Emergency Response Team (ERT), Belleville Police K9, uniform officers and Special Constables, simultaneously executed two Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrants at 351 and 353 John Street, Cobourg.

A subsequent search of the residence resulted in police locating and seizing the following:

Approximately 344.5 grams of fentanyl
Approximately 125 grams of cocaine
Approximately 46 grams of heroin
Approximately 3.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine
$2,852 Canadian currency
Four Crossbows
Several Imitation Firearms
The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $240,625. The amount of fentanyl seized is equivalent to 3,445 potentially fatal doses.

As a result of the investigation, four persons were charged with the following offences:

Cobourg residents Mark GORDON (36), Shauna WILSON (36), Kayla GIBSON (29) and Andrew PUFFER (39) are jointly charged with:

Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine contrary
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Mark GORDON and Shauna WILSON were jointly charged with:

Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – heroin
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – crystal methamphetamine
Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Produce a schedule I substance – opioid (other than heroin) contrary to section 7(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Mark GORDON was charged with:

Possession of weapon contrary to prohibition order
Shauna WILSON was charged with:

Possession of weapon contrary to prohibition order
All four were held in custody for a bail hearing.
