(LAKESHORE, ON) One person has been charged with impaired driving after a traffic stop in Lakeshore.
On April 27, 2025, at approximately 11:42 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Dupuis Street in the Municipality of Lakeshore.
Andrew GALLANT, 47-years-old of Belle River, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Operation while impaired alcohol and drugs
A 90-day Administrative Drivers License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice Windsor on May 7, 2025, to speak to the charges.
