Spousal Asault 2 Arrested

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges two individuals with a total of four criminal charges in relation to an intimate partner violence investigation.
On April 28, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at an address in Fergus.
As a result of the investigation:
A 39-year-old of Centre Wellington Township is charged under the Criminal Code with the following:
Assault spousal
Failure to comply with release order other than to attend court
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Additionally, a 38-year-old of Fergus is charged under the Criminal Code with the following:
Failure to comply with undertaking
Failure to comply with release order other than to attend court
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
