Serious Assault One Arrested, 2 @ Large

(DESERONTO, ON) One person has been charged, and arrest warrants have been issued for three others in connection with a serious assault in Deseronto.
On Friday, May 16, 2025, just after 4:00 a.m., officers with the Lennox and Addington County (LAC) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance at a residence. One person was transported to hospital by Lennox and Addington County Paramedics with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
This is believed to be an isolated incident and there is believed to be no public safety risk.
As a result of an investigation by the L&A OPP Crime Unit, arrest warrants were issued for four people.
On Wednesday, June 11, 20205, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Old Highway-2 in east-end Belleville. One person was arrested.
Jean LEGAULT, age 55 of Belleville is charged with:
Aggravated assault
Assault
Assault with a weapon
Forcible confinement two counts
Intimidation
Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm two counts
Uttering threats to damage or injure an animal two counts.
The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Cherie PAMMETT, age 51 of Deseronto for:

Forcible confinement
Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
Dorothy SPEIRS, age 51 of Belleville for:
Aggravated assault
Assault
Assault with a weapon
Forcible confinement two counts
Intimidation two counts
Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm two counts
Uttering threats to damage or injure an animal two counts
Fail to comply with a probation order two counts
Kerry WEEKS, age 63 of Marmora and Lake Township for:
Aggravated assault
Assault
Assault with a weapon
Forcible confinement two counts
Intimidation two counts
Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm two counts
Uttering threats to damage or injure an animal two counts
